Where to Find the Cap Light Switch on Jayco Seismic 395

Naturally when you get something new you spend time trying to figure out all the things it can do and how to do it. For the most part, I figured out our Jayco Seismic 395, with the exception for the cap lights. I knew it had cap lights, I could see the light strips, but where was the switch.

I flipped every light switch on the control board. Still no cap lights. I flipped every switch in the master bedroom. Still no cap lights. I flipped every switch in the entire unit, still no cap lights. I read that there was a switch under the cap, I looked, but didn’t see a switch. I checked every compartment – no switches.

It wasn’t until a friendly salesman on YouTube helped me out and explained the cap switch is under the cap and covered by a protective cover that the light bulb went off in my head. Aha! I walked outside and took a look and right where I thought was some sort of sensor (we have the ride assist technology, so figured it was part of that) and low and behold – it isn’t a sensor, it’s a switch underneath. I flipped it and voila – cap lights illuminati.

So, if you’re looking for the cap light switch, it is up front under the cap, driver side toward the front. I can’t miss it now!
